What I Do
Writer. Editor. Coach.
Everyone has a story to tell. Finding it is what I do best.
Whether I’m writing a human interest feature or working with fiction authors to discover their “selling hooks,” I begin every project with one question: What is the story here?
How do I know a story whenLouise Knott Ahern I see it? Story is that indefinable “it.” It’s the chill down your spine, the goose bumps on your arm. It’s the surge of emotion or the now-I-understand moment. It’s the big picture or the unique idea. It’s the David. And the Goliath.
Story is anything you can’t put down.
I’m a skilled interviewer and researcher, and finding stories that you can’t put down is how I’ve built my career. I’m available as a writer and editor, as well as a coach for authors.
